In my early twenties, I bought a 35 mm Konica SLR camera and ventured into the world of photography. Initially shooting with colour film I soon started using Kodachrome slides for most of my pictures.
Closer to my retirement and with the advent of digital cameras, my interest in photography was piqued again. My wife bought me a digital camera and I was smitten. I joined a camera club in Kitchener, met some wonderful people, learned a great deal and had a lot of fun going out on shoots. Now that I am retired and living in the Perth area, I joined the Lanark County Camera Club, and am also a member of the Perth Photographic Society. I joined the Canadian Association of Photographic Art (CAPA) and have received a number of awards as well as having some of my wildlife photos published in a children’s book titled “Listen Up”, by Stephen Aitken, Orca Book Publishers. I recently joined the Arts Carleton Place Association and am looking forward to meet new people, enjoy their art and share mine as well.
I loves to capture nature whether it is wildlife, birds, landscapes, flowers or anything that has to do with our beautiful surroundings. Recently, I have enjoyed experimenting in the studio capturing still life, smoke, splash photography, as well as venturing into more urban photography. My passion is to manipulate my pictures in the Digital Darkroom and create Photographic Art.
